Margaret Ethier was President of the United Nurses of Albertaan organization of 10,500 members with a 21 member executive boardfor eight years. As President, she was involved in all aspects of labour relations, including grievance/arbitration, mediation, court procedures, acting as chief negotiator for province-wide bargaining, preparing press releases, and interacting with media at the local, national and international levels. Since that time, she has provided consulting services to a variety of clients, including not-for profit organizations, unions, professional associations, condominium associations, and business corporations. Margaret Ethier is appointed as a member of arbitration boards for labour disputes, and has also acted as an employees' advocate in situations involving workplace abuse, employment contracts, and professional matters. Margaret has chaired meetings and events ranging in size from 3 to 500 members, including disciplinary hearings, Annual General Meetings, complex Bylaws revision meetings, and contentious meetings, including those that challenge the Officers/Executive board.
